Investigator's Log

Date: February 2006
Weather: 43 F, Clear, Calm, Dusk

Investigators: Shelly & Chris

Synopsis:
This was CVPI's first stop to the boat landing.  The team
has been out there on several other occasions, but never
for a full investigation again.
We arrived late afternoon and set up the video and audio
recorders.  A sweep of the area produced no unusual EMF
readings.  As a matter of fact, the whole investigation was
a snooze-fest.  Until, that is, the sun began to set.  As the
sun got lower, the heavy footsteps got closer.  Having a
good understanding of tracking from my time in the Marine
Corps, I knew this was a large animal.  Maybe a deer.
Maybe a small bear.  With the foliage gone to winter's cold
grasp, it should've been easy to see any large animal.
There were none.  The footsteps shuffled closer still.
Shelly began to pack the cameras, and got in the car.
Ghosts are one thing, big animals with big pointy teeth are
another.  My curiousity kept me outside until the sounds
reached the edge of the woods.  Common sense kicked in
and I got into the car.  Of course, I kept the window down
as we drove up the hill.  The footfalls followed us up the hill
until we reached the crest close to the graveyard, then
nothing...  Strangely... none of this shows up in the audio or
video.  Is it the mysterious "hell hounds" or just a figment
of our imagination?
